The Story Behind the Picture:
«It feels like this little guy carries all the worries of his population while still being child. His attitude, sitting there on the stairs, is somehow defensive and protecting this door of an empty house that has no roof anymore but still seems to be his home and a place important to him.
This picture was taken in a district of Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar, close to Ampitatafika, on a dike next to the Sisaony river. The houses there have to face floods, most of them weren‘t in good condition.»
